About Gigregator

What is Gigregator

Gigregator is a blog cataloguing the live music adventures of its writer, The Gigregator (that’s me).

The blog is primarily intended as a personal memory bank, but if you can derive any satisfaction from my ramblings, then who am I to say no?

The blog may also be used present occasional ramblings about musical and music-adjacent topics.

Who is The Gigregator

Based in Nottingham, I am a lifelong music fan with eclectic taste. Attending my first live music event at the tender age of 14, I have fond memories of frequenting Rock City as a teenager and venturing out into strange new cities to see that bands who just wouldn’t come to the Midlands.

The origins of my music taste are mainly heavy metal and pop punk, but having branched out over the years, I now also attend lots of Post Rock gigs.

As a techy by profession, and someone who grew up in the pre-social media days, it only seemed fitting to create an online repository to record my experiences in the venues of the UK (and perhaps beyond!)

The Gigregator promise

In the spirit of privacy, I will always post to this blog using my pseudonym. I am however perfectly happy with individuals knowing that I publish to Gigregator, providing the association can’t be made with a Google search!

Inevitably though, there may be certain patterns in my gig attendance or minor details from my articles which the keen eyed may be able to identify me with.

If you suspect you’ve seen me at a gig, don’t be shy, come over and say hi! I guarantee that at least the first person to approach me will be rewarded for your diligence with a beverage of your choosing.
