Unlike many gigs I attend, I was largely going in blind with this one. I’d had recommendation from the guys in L.O.E to check out Hubris and listened to just a few of their tracks, enjoying what I heard.

I was lucky enough to catch an advert for my Post Rock freebie in as many monthscourtesy of Rough Trade on the day of the event. I changed my evening plans and went for it, and boy was it worth it. For a change, I convinced a friend to come along who I discovered had agreed to join despite never hearing the band - a risky prospect for a Post Rock gig, but who doesn’t love a freebie?
